A lunch in the tatami room at Soho Bistro in West Chester. Love that place.
A New Year’s eve with the usual traditions: lots of finger foods, hats, Twilight Zone marathon and excellent time spent with the family.
This can all be blamed on Emma. She asked if she could move into the guest room for her birthday present. Actually, she’s been asking me for that room since I put up the pretty bookcase full of colorful yarn. I tried to talk her out of it, since it was quite a downsize from her own room and it is the second smallest room in the house. But since she couldn’t be swayed, we carried on with the request.
There were a couple of benefits, not the least of which included the other members of the house gaining bigger rooms themselves. It did, however, require the painting of three bedrooms and disassembling, moving, and reassembling a lot of furniture. In the end, everyone seems to be extremely pleased with the change. It’s always good to have happy kids in the house.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go enjoy a beer.
