Life’s been busy over the last couple of months. It got even busier when September began. We have three birthday milestones this month: 13, 18 and 40.

Merry Xmas

We had a pretty normal Christmas this year. I let the girls open their gifts from one side of the family so they had some things to occupy themselves with until the other half of our family arrived to celebrate with us. They promised us 1-3 inches of snow, but all we got was a light dusting. Still, there was snow on the ground, a roaring fire in the fireplace, a ham in the oven and lots of family around to be with us during the holiday.

First Concert

Em had her first violin concert at school the week before Christmas. For the first time in a while, I didn’t take a lot of photos during the event. Terry recorded video for me while I was able to just simply be there and watch. It was quite a treat and I was extremely proud.

Alex’s 5K Run

Lex participated in a 5K run for Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Cincinnati this morning. Emma and I went with her in the wee hours for early registration, and of course stayed to support her run. It was freezing cold, pretty crowded and very exciting. I’m damned proud of her, too.
